Akwaaba Workshops.

We ran weekly workshops from September 2018 - March 2019 at the Akwaaba centre in Hackney. Akwaaba is a Hackney-based social centre for refugees, asylum seekers and other migrants.’

We engaged with up to 65 children and teens in our sessions, delivering storytelling workshops, team building games, imagination exercises and music/jamming sessions. As well as this being a time for the young people to express themselves creatively, it also allowed a moments rest for the adults to seek advice or to socialise with friends
