24 HOUR SHAKESPEARE MARATHON - ACTOR CALL OUT!

SUPPORT OUR FUNDRAISER!

How many of Shakespeare's plays have you read/seen?
Are there any parts you might never play?

Now's your chance!

We're reading as many of Shakespeare's plays as possible to raise money for Compass Collective during Refugee Week - a national event celebrating the contributions of people seeking sanctuary.

WHY ARE WE FUNDRAISING?

Considering the recent Rwanda Safety Bill, the Compass Collective community & Scrum stands in solidarity with refugees and migrants facing uncertainty and fear. We are committed to cultivating an environment of welcome, compassion and care.

We have seen a huge increase of young people needing support as a result of the bill and as a result urgently need to support our welfare team to offer 1:1 advice and signposting, mental health support and group information sharing sessions in person and on Zoom.

HOW CAN YOU SUPPORT?

Join a growing team of Actors / Supporters /Compass young people in tackling all (well most of...) Shakespeare's plays.

We are looking for a core group to take on the full 24 hours, supported by others who will pitch in as many hours as they are able. It will be table reading, script in hand, costume optional!!

Join a growing list of famous actors including Robert Glenister, Freddie Fox, Joanna Davids, Sylversta Le Touzel and Owen Teal to tackle as many of the plays as we can! You will be in great company! We promise you it will be a night to remember.

With special surprise performances from Compass young people and SCRUM across the 24 hours!

It's a chance to:

Play your dream Shakespeare character!

Act alongside a special line up of guest celebrities and actors!

Meet our Compass young people!

Never-ending caffeine and food will be provided to keep you going!! Everyone is welcome, whether you are a seasoned pro or a Shakespeare newbie.

SUPPORT THROUGH DONATIONS!

What difference can you make?

  • £20 Can provide a mobile data package for a young person to attend our session and stay informed and connected to the Compass community, to friends and family.

  • £50 Can provide 3 young people with one to one advice and sign posting

  • £100 Can provide 25 young people with an online information session with a Q&A with legal aid.

"What country friends is this?" -

We have the shared responsibility and power to reshape the narrative our young people hear. Let's make them feel supported and welcomed.
