TRANSMISSIONS
We recently concluded a project in Leeds, in partnerships with Leeds Playhouse and the British Red Cross. The project brought two groups of young people seeking sanctuary together in Leeds to develop a dramatic audio piece. This was a brilliant way of connecting the groups, enabling social networks to form and new friendships to be made.
In one of our most ambitious feats yet, we focused on blending creative writing with music to devise an original recorded audio piece that the young people recorded for the Platforma Festival hosted by Counterpoint Arts. We have recently secured funding for this to be developed into an animation with Majid Adin, an animator with lived experience from Iran. He will visit the group in the new year to run a series of stock motion animation workshops for them.
It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference. Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sound like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest. If you read the words back and don’t hear your own voice in your head, that’s a good sign you still have more work to do.
